MAYA Protocol follow-up: You can still add $RUNE for 2 days and claim your free $MAYA reward
The MAYA Protocol Liquidity Auction is in full swing, and very successful so far:
With $4.2 Million in assets collected in a few days, I think we can call the liquidity auction a success already.
Only since saturday, the $RUNE pool opened for the MAYA liquidity auction.
It opened a bit later than the rest of the assets, therefore the $MAYA reward for initial contributors got extended until Wednesday, 22th of March.

Reminder why $MAYA is such a great token
To have a fair launch, the team didn’t want to give away $CACAO tokens that would be sold to the market at some point.
They decided to create a second token $MAYA which earns 10% of the total protocol fees and shares them with holders.
The team and investors are only compensated in $MAYA and therefore bound more tightly to the volume of the protocol which increases the revenue.
Developers and investors & early contributors to the Liquidity Auction are rewarded with tokens that grow in value as the protocol grows, but don’t hurt the protocol when they are sold.
My plan for $RUNE
I added 60% of my $RUNE holdings to the pool, planning to essentially double my position because I get free $CACAO tokens donated to the pool.
Early contributors to the pool also get $MAYA tokens. $RUNE holders also get $MAYA tokens, that is why I balanced my holdings and contribution to the pool 40/60.
I want to keep part of my $RUNE liquid for example to add liquidity on THORChain later or take some profits. I get rewarded in $MAYA tokens for just holding them in my Ledger as well.
I understood that I need to connect my Ledger THORChain address to my MAYA Wallet before 16th of April to receive the Airdrop.
